GTE is one of the three columns of Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) - the European association of the transmission, storage and LNG terminal operators. GTE currently represents 34 transmission system operators from 27 countries. One of the objectives of GTE is to voice the views of its members vis-à-vis the European Commission, the regulators and other stakeholders. GTE is actively contributing to the creation of a single European gas market that is underpinned by a stable and predictable regulatory framework conducive to investments. GTE is committed to promoting a fully operational internal gas market by looking at ways to increase market transparency and improve interoperability of the transmission systems with a view to enhancing and facilitating cross-border gas exchanges. It is one of the major European platforms for experience exchange and knowledge sharing between gas transmission system operators. |

GSE is one column of GIE, Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) - the European association of the transmission, storage and LNG terminal operators. GSE represents the interests of storage system operators vis-à-vis the European Commission, the regulators and other stakeholders. It currently gathers 31 Storage System Operators with around 110 storage sites in 16 countries in Europe, representing approximately 85% of EU technical storage capacity. The mission of GSE is to actively contribute to the construction of a single, competitive gas market in Europe underpinned by a stable and predictable regulatory framework. A sound investment climate and increased transparency are among the main areas of focus for GSE as prerequisites for a fully operational gas market in Europe. As a European platform for experience exchange and improvement, GSE seeks to strengthen cooperation among European storage system operators with a view to facilitating new developments and accelerating progress towards completing the internal gas market. |
